10 May Outcome of the informal consultations in Paris on 15-16 April
With a week to go before the resumption of UN negotiations in Germany following the adoption of the Paris Agreement, the French COP21 Presidency and the future Moroccan Presidency have published an aide-mémoire of the informal consultations organized in Paris in April on the implementation of the Agreement. The principle aim of these consultations, which brought together the main negotiators from around 50 countries, was to prepare and facilitate as best as possible the resumption of this work on the Climate Convention in Bonn in May.
The French and Moroccan Presidencies have also published a Reflections Note (available on the UNFCCC website) with the assistance of the secretariat of the Convention, which will put forward suggestions on how to organize the work in Bonn and in the lead-up to Marrakech (click here for the programme of the Bonn session).
COP21 President Ségolène Royal will open the work in Bonn and on the evening before will chair a meeting of the COP office.
