01 Dec Climate Generations areas’ official opening

340 actors from the French and international civil society gathered today to launch the climate Generations areas. Areas dedicated to knowledge, exchange and debate that will be open until the 11th of December 2015, from 10.30 a.m. to 7 p.m., excluding Sunday, 6 December.

Welcoming the public

At 10:30 a.m., citizens from all over the globe were invited to discover 120 stands, 20 interactive educational exhibitions, conferences/debates and film screenings, such as “Ice and Sky“.

Official visit of the French President François Hollande 

In company of Ségolène Royal, Harlem Désir, Annick Girardin and Nicolas Hulot, François Hollande inaugurated this morning the climate Generations areas and recognized the commitments of the non state actors, as well as their solutions.

Ségolène Royal calls for mobilization 

Ségolène Royal has also greeted the civil society’s actors and declared that “more than ever”, it was time to commit for the planet. Besides, she has insisted on the essential role of women in the fight against climat change and invited Hind Alowais and Marinelle Ubaldo to speak in the Nelson Mandela auditorium.
